Speri

The Estate
Speri is one of the Valpolicella Classico zone's most admired estates — a fifth-generation family producer based in Pedemonte, whose wines have been among the region's reference points for elegance and precision for decades. The family has farmed the same hills since 1874, accumulating a deep understanding of the territory that shows clearly in the glass.
Their Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Monte Sant'Urbano — produced from a single hillside vineyard — is widely considered one of the finest expressions of the appellation: firm, refined and mineral, with the restrained power that distinguishes great Valpolicella from merely very good Valpolicella. It ages for three years in large Slavonian oak after a traditional drying period.
Speri's approach favours balance over power — their Ripasso and Valpolicella Classico Superiore are benchmarks of the lighter, more aromatic styles, offering genuine pleasure without the weight of Amarone. The estate is a perfect introduction to the diversity and sophistication of the Valpolicella appellation.
