Domaine de Chevalier

The Estate
One of the most prestigious estates in Pessac-Léognan, Domaine de Chevalier produces both red and white wines of outstanding quality from its woodland-encircled vineyard in Léognan. The estate has a quietness and discretion that sets it apart from the more famous châteaux of the Left Bank.
The Blanc — 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Sémillon — is considered one of the greatest dry white wines in Bordeaux, capable of ageing for 20–30 years and developing extraordinary complexity of honey, beeswax, citrus peel, and mineral tension. It is one of the most underrated white wines in the world.
Since its acquisition by the Bernard family in 1983, Domaine de Chevalier has invested continuously in its vineyards and cellar, cementing its status as one of the Left Bank's most reliable and terroir-expressive estates. The red is equally distinguished: more restrained than the Right Bank, more aromatic than northern Médoc, and entirely its own.
