Château Lynch-Bages

The Estate
Technically a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Classification, Château Lynch-Bages has long punched far above its classification, earning the affectionate nickname 'the poor man's Mouton' for its combination of Pauillac power and relative accessibility.
The estate is owned by the Cazes family, who have farmed it since 1934, and its wines — dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon from the plateau of Bages — are renowned for their exuberant blackcurrant fruit, cedar spice, and generous texture that makes them approachable far earlier than most Pauillac peers.
Lynch-Bages is one of the most commercially successful châteaux in the Médoc, beloved by wine lovers worldwide for delivering First Growth quality at a fraction of the price. The village of Bages, revitalised by the Cazes family, has also become one of the Médoc's most charming destinations.
